During our 10-day trip, I never ceased to be amazed at the sights. I could literally roll over in the middle of the night, gaze out the glass doors of our lodge room, and check out the volcano's activity. We climbed over black, volcanic rock and I shot pictures of an orchid blooming out of a crevice. Darcy did a great job leading our trip to Costa Rica in February, 2011! From arrival to departure, she was on top of everything on our tour. Not only did she schedule and decide on various excursions and site seeing opportunities, she actually walked each step we walked, climbed each hill, and made sure we all got the most out of each. Her knowledge of the people, culture and environment proved invaluable to the enjoyment of the tour. Each day was a full day of touring and photography from adventures at volcanoes to lakes to rivers to forests. I wanted anyone who is looking at taking a trip to Costa Rica to look really hard at using Darcy Pino's services. My wife and I just returned from one such trip on(3-28) and we had a fabulous time. Darcy and her husband Peter are charming, warm wonderful people who know the country, customs and language extremely well. The accommodations were most comfortable without being pretentious, the food was very good as well as healthy. The country is beautiful, with a variety of ecosystems, animals that cannot be matched in the USA in such a small area no larger than the state of West Virginia. Don't delay, book your trip! This was my first trip to Costa Rica, but it certainly will not be my last. We travelled throughout the Northern part of the country, and my next trip with Darcy will be the South. This trip was just such a positive experience in every way, that I don't feel it necessary to explore Darcy's competition. Because of her knowledge of the country, each day was perfectly planned, but also had room for flexibility. Each of the 3 places we stayed were spectacular - like diamonds in the rough. Only someone who knows the country like Darcy would even know that these places exist. My first trip to Costa Rica was one of the most memorable trips I've taken...It far exceeded my expectations thanks to Darcy for knowing her country well and having a driver (Jose) that was extremely familiar with many of the local customs. We traveled with a small group of ten with eight of whom already knew one another. From the zip line, nature hikes into the jungle, the ride down the river with alligators, monkeys, and other wildlife...to the incredible dinners and lodges, and of course the first rate photographers (not me) in our group...I loved every minute of it! I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful trip to Costa Rica. I was a bit apprehensive after finding out about the earthquake, but you made the trip a spectacular photo adventure. It was great to not get pressure to leave a location before making the best of the photo opportunity. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute whether in was cityscape or landscape. ~Al Heacox~
Our trip to Costa Rica was unique, adventurous, and exciting. We visited so many interesting places that were not the “typical” tourist attractions. We had many wonderful photo opportunities and Darcy was very generous in helping us with photography tips and lessons to help us take better images. I had already been once to Costa Rica with a well known travel service but when you told me you were giving guided tours too, my son and I decided to jump on the bandwagon and see what Darcy Pino had to offer. Wow, it was spectacular. She knows all the right places to go to for the best photographs and interaction with the people and local culture. I wouldn't think of going with anyone else in the future, especially now that I really know what this country has to offer. It is tiny, but there is so much to see and appreciate with the help of a really experienced guide, who, best of all, is such fun to be with. Darcy did a 50th wedding anniversary DVD slideshow of my parents. It was the "BIG HIT" of the party. We all loved it and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. She did a wonderful job!!!

Darcy took pictures at my son's birthday party. I was very pleased with how the pictures came out. She captured the kid's excitment, laughter and joy which made for beautiful pictures. She is a very talented photographer.
